Immersion Learning Program

As part of Hikmat Foundation’s holistic approach to education, we have designed an out-of-classroom immersion learning program to ignite the students’ imagination and ambition. This program involves a group of students traveling out of their village (for most of them, their first time ever) to a major city (either New Delhi, or Patna).

During their week in these cities, the students meet a roster of accomplished, inspiring women from across various fields: journalists, lawyers, nurses, police officers, entrepreneurs, professional athletes; they also participate in off-site activities such as visiting the CNBC office (and reading a live report!), taking self defense classes, visiting museums and their favorite - taking a Bollywood dance class!

These immersion trips have been an enormous success and contributed tremendously in inspiring the girls to stay in school, to finish their educations, to ignite their imaginations and to build their confidence.
